Valiance TRUcompare is capable of generating several reports and log files in various formats. The formats includes HTML, Text, Comma Delimited (CSV) and files with custom separators. In addition, users can limit the log file entries by selecting required audit level, as described below:

Errors Only – This format shows only the comparison errors, useful during the test runs of the tool

Database – Reports all errors, as well as database level queries and related errors, if any. This option is ideal during the debugging process.

All – Reports all positive confirmations, errors and database queries. This option is preferred for formal validation runs of the tool.

TRUcompare can also generate optional source data and target data reports. These reports allow users to see the data the way TRUcompare sees. The target data report will include all business transformations, while the source data report shows the raw (untransformed) data. These reports can be used for future auditing purpose or for debugging purpose when the tool returns unexpected results.
