DATA & CONTENT MIGRATION TESTING Valiance specializes in achieving rapid and comprehensive testing of data and content migrations. Valiance TRUcompare is an XML-based tool developed by us to facilitate the rapid verification of data/documents migrated from existing source systems to a compliant target environment. It ensures quality while significantly reducing costly overhead associated with cumbersome manual processes. With TRUcompare, weeks of labor can be saved while vastly accelerating time-to-data validation. TRUcompare is ideal for meeting data sampling standards, 100% verification and error logging. In most cases sampling can be avoided all together because TRUcompare can be quickly and easily run against entire data sets.

TRUcompare can significantly mitigate, even eliminate the risk of triggering a required manual audit of an entire data set as a result of exceeding error thresholds in randomly selected sample—an effort that can consume as much as 90 days or more per iteration before a validation is complete. Valiance migration testing services are centered on applying TRUcompare to a specific migration for performing quality check. Valiance staff is highly proficient in configuring the TRUcompare tool with applicable transformation rules in an efficient manner and perform quality check on 100% of the data values. For testing purposes, the entire set of data/documents will be migrated to a Test/QA environment, and 100% of the content and meta-data will be verified using TRUcompare.  Valiance will work with customer’s quality groups to determine the level of documentation required for the migration testing. 

MIGRATION VALIDATION
Migrations which are subjected to regulations, such as FDA’s 21 CFR Part 11, need additional effort to document the migration process, testing process and associated results. Valiance offers Migration Validation services that are targeted towards meeting regulatory requirements. Our services in this area cover the following:

1. Migration Qualification (MQ) Protocol – A protocol document that describes the overall approach for migration, approach for testing and procedures related to detailed testing process. This document will serve as a planning document for the purposes of qualifying the migration.
2. Migration Qualification Scripts – A set of test scripts targets towards qualifying the migration testing tool, testing the tool configuration and finally, testing the outcome of the migration. These scripts are augmented with a set of forms and data sheets to easily document test results.
3. Migration Qualification Summary Report – A final report outlining the disposition of the migration. This document describes the overall outcome, any deviations/exceptions and corresponding corrective actions, if any. This document will also serve as the final approval to release the migrated data/content for business/production purposes.
