Richard Higger, founder and president of Valiance Partners, has more than twenty years of high technology and professional services experience across a broad array of systems, platforms, and industries, including life sciences, manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, healthcare and insurance.

Prior to Valiance Partners, Richard served as vice president for Altro Solutions, responsible for sales and delivery of professional IT services throughout the eastern region. In this role, he established Altro’s East Coast presence in 1997 as a single employee and subsequently grew the firm’s revenues to more than eight million dollars.

Before joining Altro, Richard directed the enterprise document management practice for Trecom, Inc., a business, systems integration and software development consultancy. Other professional experience includes progressively more responsible positions at a number of technology startups.

Richard earned both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he also served as an associate professor for the Manufacturing Engineering Application Center.
